Actual Results from Honest Riches e-Book

We are going to show you an actual website that is producing real results by following the advice given in Holly Mann's e-Book, Honest Riches 2. While the website is fairly new- it tells much about how following the advice given in the book, you will have results, too. The website is called "The Belly Dance Movement". We decided we wanted to build a site that sold DVDs to help women wanting to learn and practice Belly Dancing. (This is an affiliate website. Affiliate Programs are explained in the Honest Riches eBook).

The Title of the website was derived following the advice in the book. Because women involved in belly dancing want to practice 'belly dance movements'- we used those keywords in the Title of the website and the url address:

http://www.thebellydancemovement.com

The home page of the website is optimized for the keywords: "belly dance movements". This was intentional and from the information in the book. The details are many, but here are some of the things you will notice about this webpage if you look at the source code of the page:

The Domain Name contains the keywords.

The Website Title contains the keywords.

The Keyword Meta Tag in the code contains the keywords and variations.

The Description Meta Tag contains the keywords.

The image has descriptive alternative text containing the keywords.

The Head section and the footer section both contain the keywords.

This website certainly could use some honing, but for a beginners site, it is doing very well. Results of following the instruction and advise in the Honest Riches eBook go like this:

This website was launched mid-September 2008. Within 3 weeks of being crawled by Google, the site was on page 2 of Google. Within a short time after that, it moved to page 1 of Google search results for the keywords- you guessed it: "belly dance movements". It has remained on page 1 ever since and this is with approx 10,000,000 competing results. Also, and this is important: Several pages within The Belly Dance Movement got a Google PageRank after 3 months of being live. After 4 months the Home Page now has a Page Rank of 2. (Much of this may sound like a foreign language when just beginning, but hang in there- you will come to understand this and much more as you get going.)
